Darkness are Reagents found within Chaos Gates. They do not appear until you have talked to Chaos a number of times; the more you make use of Chaos Gates, the more easily you can harvest this resource. Unlike most other resources, no Gathering Tools are needed.
Currently, there is no way to increase your Darkness gained - you simply have to visit Chaos Gates frequently.
