Chaos Gates are occasionally encountered after combat Encounters. Initially Chaos Gates will only appear in the underworld.
Entering a Chaos Gate costs Health unless you have purchased the Spark of Ixion from a Well of Charon. Chaos Gates cannot be entered if Melinoë lacks sufficient health, even if she has Death Defiance available.
You must speak with Chaos and receive a boon before leaving the Chaos Gate.

Name | Icon | Type |

Thalamus | Digging Spot Seed
Plasma | Outcropping Ore
Darkness | Rare Reward |

Spawning[edit | edit source]
A Chaos Gate cannot spawn if there was one in the last 13 Chambers (except via a Spark of Ixion)
In the original Hades, Chaos Gates only spawned after 6 runs - a similar limit may exist here as well.
Chaos Gates cannot spawn in shops, Guardian chambers, or in the chamber immediately after a boss. Chaos Gates do not spawn in The Crossroads.
The chance of a Chaos Gate spawning are determined by the Region:
- Erebus: 10%
- Oceanus: 12%
- Fields: 0% (only spawns from Spark of Ixion)
- Tartarus: 0% (only spawns from Spark of Ixion)
- City of Ephyra: Unknown
- Rift of Thessaly: Unknown
- Mount Olympus: Unknown
