Guardians are a special Encounter at the end of each Region. Each one takes place in a unique Location. After the Guardian room there will always be a special Fountain Room; Incantations can add a Keepsakes Cabinet and a Well of Charon. There is no room after the Final Guardian of a particular Path.

Guardians have an incredible amount of Health, and will switch Phases at certain health levels. For example, Hecate has three phases, denoted by her shielding herself at 67/33% health and changing attack patterns.

Currently, Chronos is the only Guardian with a second Stage. After his first health bar is depleted, he will recover to full health and change the layout of the location.
